Welcome to Welcome (the “App”). We respect your privacy. This policy explains how the App handles information. By using the App, you agree to the terms of this policy.

1. Information We Process

The App does not operate its own servers and does not sell your personal data to third parties. We may process the following information related to your use of the App:

• Content you enter: Welcome screen titles, subtitles, body text, background images, and display preferences. This is stored locally on your device and may be synced to iCloud when you choose to do so.
• Sign in with Apple (optional): If you sign in, we receive only the user identifier provided by Apple and any name or email you choose to share, used to distinguish accounts within the App.
• Photo library access (optional): Used only when you choose a custom background image. The App accesses the photo you select and does not scan your entire library.

2. iCloud and Sync

If you enable sync, your welcome screen content is transferred between your devices through Apple’s iCloud services (including CloudKit, iCloud key-value storage, and iCloud Documents) and is subject to Apple’s privacy policies. Data is stored under your iCloud account. The developer cannot directly access your iCloud content.

3. Network Requests

When using the daily recommendation feature, the App may:

• Display inspirational quotes from a built-in local library (no network required);
• On some platforms or when the network is available, request jokes, stories, or quotes from third-party public APIs (such as open quote or joke services).

These requests are used only to fetch display text and do not include your personal identity. Third-party privacy practices are governed by their respective policies.

4. What We Do Not Collect

• The App does not include third-party advertising or behavioral tracking SDKs;
• We do not collect precise location information;
• We do not collect sensitive data such as contacts or call history.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

• Local data: Uninstalling the App or clearing its data removes local copies on your device.
• iCloud data: You can manage or delete related data in iCloud settings or your Apple account management.
• Account data: If you use Sign in with Apple, you can revoke the App’s access in your Apple ID settings.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have received such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other reasonable means.
